Coaching for Success is designed to help you develop your coaching capability, whether you are in the role of a coach or a coachee. Peer coaching is the model we focus on in this course which means that at times you will assume the role of a coach and at other times a coachee within your coaching partnerships. The main topics covered in the course include:

  • Understanding the meaning, purpose, and benefits of coaching
  • Identifying your core qualities as a coach and as a coachee
  • How to develop a positive, rich coaching relationship
  • Developing the essential communication skills of coaching: strengths-based feedback, empathic listening, asking good questions
  • Evaluating the impact and outcomes of coaching on your own and the coachee’s development and goals

Course Objectives

 By completing this course you will:

  • Have a clear process and the tools for effectively engaging in coaching relationships as a coach and as a coachee;
  • Be able to apply a range of coaching processes and practices;
  • Be equipped to grow your role and capabilities as a coach;

  • Practice and refine a range of coaching skills;
  • Be able to integrate key learnings from the course in your professional context.
